Third int’l fireworks contest to light up Da Nang skies



The competition will celebrate Da Nang’s 35th liberation day and the 1,000th anniversary of Hanoi, formerly known as Thang Long, the Da Nang People’s Committee said.

The theme for the contest will be “The Legend of the Han River.”

The annual fireworks competition will be accompanied by a series of activities including a flower boat parade, Viet Trade Village Festival, and colored lanterns on the Han River.

A pavilion of 25,000 seats will be built on the banks of the Han River for people to watch the fireworks competition. Tickets cost VND200,000 (US$11) per person per night. They can be purchased at:
